All games are not detecting my Nvidia Geforce GT 630M

I just realized that my games aren't running the 630M, but instead it's running the Intel HD Graphics 4000.

This is the reason why my games are quite laggy. See, look World of Tanks, low frame-rates

And there is no option to change the graphic card to the 630M, it just show the slow-performed card.

Here is an example that a game does not detect my Nvidia: Prepar3D

If you click the display, it won't have any option to change the card.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Download Unigine Heaven Benchmark, right click it and run in high performance (after you install it), configure it to be lowest settings, and see what it says in the top right hand corner. It should say whether it's using the nvidia card or the intel.

Do you have the latest Nvidia drivers? And when you right click games, does it gives you the option of what GPU to run it with? If not, I think you can go in to the nvidia control panel and enable that setting. If you can't find it, I'll try to get screen shots off of my laptop for you.

There is a notification of a new game-ready driver, just recently downloading it.

Right clicking games of the high performance nvidia, yeah that could be a solution, but still stuck with low framerates.

BUT!

My Prepar3D is now showing the Nvidia Geforce 630m. Yup (partially solved)

Went to program settings, the exe file (like worldoftanks.exe) select high performance Nvidia processor, still low framerates, LOL.

any other solutions? seems some of games are still using my Intel HD Graphics, and yeah even my AC Power cord is plugged in, won't work lol.

Im gonna get more pictures.

Yeah my specs are:

HP ENVY DV6 7215tx
Windows 8.1
Intel i7 3630QM
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Nvidia Geforce 630M 2GB DDR3
8 GB RAM

Hmm not at lowest settings but according the Geforce Experience the optimal settings value is:

but I don't think the Nvidia card is being used, because the framerates are still low.

Right in the middle.

Yup, it's using Nvidia.

And one more weird phenomena.

Just after updating my BIOS, it seems everything worked very FINE. I was able to see the Nvidia GPU notification saying the game is running well with the best current GPU.
