Hi,
I currently have a Pentium G3258 and a MSI Radeon R7 260x. I am unsure if, with a $350 budget, I should buy a GTX 970 or a i7-4790k. I do both gaming and video editing on my computer and my full parts list is here: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/seross2003/saved/DhbcCJ. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your CPU, I assume it isn't overclocked? will bottleneck a GTX 970 in CPU intensive games.
Could you stretch to a GTX 970 and an i5 4690k if you consider the money you could get from selling the CPU and GPU?
Maybe a GTX 960 and 4690k, depending on what games you play/plan to play?

My CPU is overclocked to 4.0gh, I can't get it much higher than that with a stock cooler, I would also consider getting an H80i GT or an H60 watercooler with this upgrade. I plan to play games like Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Farcry 4, etc.
Also, where do you suggest I sell the CPU or GPU?

I don't know what country you are in, but I'd first try to sell it to a friend as that is usually safer than over the internet, if you can't find a buyer you could use Amazon if you wanted, I've never sold on Amazon personally but a lot of people do.

I'm in the US, so with a $450 budget (including the sale of the CPU or GPU) what would you recommend I buy?

From Amazon I found these:

EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB ($184.49)
Intel Core i5-4690K ($235.99)
Total: $420.48
If you're not planning on overclocking you could get the non K version, but personally I'd take the K version in case you decide to overclock later.
