Hi guys
i need your advice
my current pc specs:
Intel core 2 duo E7500 @2.93Ghz
4 gb ram
500 gb hard drive
ati saphhire 6770 hd 1 gb
intex(local brand) 450w smps (+12V 20A )

so 3 years ago,i decided to upgrade my gpu to hd 6770
i knew it was a big risk because of my local and cheap smps
but still i went for it and it worked fine for 2 years but after that i lost both my smps and gpu
it started artefacting and so i decided to take it out and put a new smps and an old graphic card (nvidia msi 8400gs) just so that my pc keeps running
now after an year ,i feel like gaming again
so i want to buy a new GDDR5 graphic card for my pc which is power efficient and would help me avoid the task of buying a new smps as i am short of money
pls give your suggestion and make sure it gives max performance with my old processor
and should i go with second hand graphic cards ????
pls note-I game at 1600 x 900

i am getting second hand, not used though MSI GTX 750Ti for Rs 7000 (110 dollars)
should i go for it
will my cpu be bottlenecking the gpu and if yes by how much or should i go with 6670
the best thing abt the card 750ti is that it doesnt need any extra power so no cables

my gpu is gtx 750 ti ....my personal advice is go for amd r7 260x or r9 270 x ...if you can just extend your budget a little bit........................ i am not even getting 35 fps playing black flag

The thing with second hand is that you don't know if the person who used it before did anything to it. But if the person you are buying from has good ratings then go for it. GTX 750 ti works well on 1600 x 900 med to high settings. Just be aware there may be a bit of a bottleneck but not too significant. You should go for the GTX 750 ti if you can, it will run on your PSU.

i will still be able to run all the latest games like gta 5 on high setting in 1600x900 right?
is there any chance that my psu will fry because of 750ti right/
i want to sure thats why i am asking

Not with your CPU. You can run it at low - medium maybe.
No because a GTX 750 ti plus your system can run on 300w

so that will be the case for all latest games then right?
is it happening just because of my cpu?
and games like fifa 15 and the upcoming fifa 16 will also run on low setting then?

yes, you are right.
somewhat, that is why I recommend getting a stronger CPU
yes for fifa 15, but im not sure for fifa 16 since the game has not been released yet.

thanks for replying
i am actually on a tight budget so i was thinking that i should buy a core 2 quad processor and replace my current core 2 duo with it and use 750ti with it becasue now i adays games require 4 cores
will that be a good combo
i cant buy an i3 or i5 because then i will have to change my motherboard also as my current motherboard only supports the core 2 generation

can you give any suggestions abt the performance with quad core and overclocking it?
