I did a custom install of windows 8.1 64 bit on top of Windows 8.1 32-bit. I think I screwed up my computer.

Hello Toms,
I am quite a newbie to Operating Systems, so I am out over my head right now. I did a reinstall of windows 8.1 32 bit to 64 bit by creating my own bootable disc. I have now installed it, and boom. It will not display at full resolution, it has a Windows and build # stamp on the bottom, and I have no idea on how to fix anything. I need your help. I can give you some more details and pictures if you need it. I am a bit panicked right now.

P.S. The iso and product key were perfectly valid and legal from microsoft.
Thanks

Well, you need to find and install all your drivers.

I got it from the "Create Media" page. I created a bootable dvd.

My gpu is unregocnized, so I need to download it off the internet because I dont have a disc. However, I still need the drivers for my d-link usb wifi reciever.

Brain fade - I thought you said Windows 7! It's still unusual; what build number does it display?

I did use a Windows 8 (not .1) product key, but since there was no option for normal windows 8, I used my normal windows 8 key and it worked. I even managed to activate it by phone.
