RAM issues with Asus Maximus Hero VI

My 1 year old rig started malfunctioning after I removed one of the RAM sticks the other day.

Components-
Intel i7 4770k (was over clocked, now at stock clock speed)
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (8GBx2 stock voltage and frequency)
Corsair H100i (Problem area?)
Asus Maximus VI Hero
Asus GTX-780 Ti
Corsair RM 850W

I was just testing the module on another PC and when I installed it, I saw an error Q-code 55. When removing one of the modules, it posts. If i replace the slot closest to the CPU with either stick, it posts. It fails to so otherwise (error 55- no bios, no video). So this is most likely an issue with the slot. Do note that I have a Corsair H100i installed, which I recently repositioned from a vertical position to a horizontal position. There is however, no observable damage on the circuitry. The CPU standoffs were hand tightened and I have taken care to apply equal pressure on all the 4 sides of the baseplate. Do I request an RMA for the motherboard? Will it be covered under warranty? Are there any alternative solutions that you'd advice me to try out before returning this? Thanks a lot!

i just tried to understand your post ...its not clear to me ...i mean how your rig was install when running well and after the reonriented watercooler how you reinstalled the rams ?

usually there is only one way to install a water cooler block to fit properly ...and why you changed the ram slot to the nearest of the cpu?

sorry for my missunderstanding
