The email server is probably from Nigeria as there won't be a dedicated server for every single user. It is a security measure.
To answer your question: Nothing is impossible but It is highly unlikely and as long as you have good passwords and a secure firewall, they won't target you.

Nigeria is unlikely to have a good internet backbone, reliable power, good security etc. Also fairly high latency to pretty much everywhere, though that's less of an issue with email.

You need to be looking at the email header and find out where is is originating.
