Good day,

So I'm looking for an ok computer to do my programming and watch some movies.
I found this used macbook 13 a1181 for around $110 which i think is a good price.
But will the macbook run well for atleast a year or two?

2,2GHz core 2 duo
4gb ram
OS X 10.7.5

Solution
The 2.2GHz processor means that this must be a late 2007 model: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-2-duo-2.2-black-13-late-2007-santa-rosa-specs.html

It's pretty much maxed out and is already running the newest version of OS X that can be installed on that machine. But I wouldn't expect that to be too much of a limitation; I would imagine that there is very little software that absolutely requires a newer version of OS X. It should be fine for simple use, but note that the version of OS X limits the version of XCode that can be run. So if your programming is iOS you won't be able to target the newer versions. But for general-purpose programming and/or web design it will be fine.

Any chance that you could...

Any chance that you could try before you buy, just to check that movies work OK on it? You don't mention gaming; just as well.

PS Should have added - that price is a steal!

It is exactly this model.
I'll do c++ and c# programming on it but i wont do it for ios.
anyway. thank you for helping me decide.
I'll try and get to the macbook and test it. if it works fine, i'll take it.
I found a way on how to upgrade to yosemite on unsupported devices and i also gonna upgrade it with ssd.
It should fit very well for my basic computing needs when I'm out.
