Too good to be true? (Windows 7)

I'm building a new PC and I did some looking around and found out that you can get windows 7/8 product keys (retail) from a subreddit for around $15-$20, http://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ . People have given feedback saying these keys are legit and work fine but I want your opinion in this.

Should I try this or just use linux mint until I can afford my own copy of windows?

You could also buy a used pc from ebay and use it for a case, disk drive, and coa key. Private messaging does seem suspicious.

You can rest assured that any key being sold for only 15-20 dollars is not legit, no matter what anyone says.

Those are totally not legal copies, Windows Server Standard $10 <--- a retail Windows Server OS is several hundred dollars, they are basically charging you for hacked keys or already used keys at best and just a bunch of random characters at worst.

Here is a "legal" Server 2012 copy, for $700 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416799&cm_re=Windows_Server-_-32-416-799-_-Product

If anyone can sell a $700 license for $10, they are clearly not legal.
