Shortcut on desktop i cant get rid of?

Right click on your desktop and click "Personalize". On the left hand side of the new window select "Change Desktop Icons".
If Network is checked, uncheck it, and click OK.
If it's not checked, check it, click apply, then uncheck it and click OK.
