Hello, sorry if this post looks weird im on mobile. My friends and I have recently gotten into pc gaming with steam and are trying to have a Lan Party. But we need a 15+ port switch. We are expecting 11 people and were are playing gmod, command and conquer, driving speed and minecraft. I know alot more about switches and networking and computers so this is what im trying to figure out.

The switch has to be under 90$.

It has to be unmanaged (plug and play)

We need gigabit speeds

And the switch has to have metal ports.

Can someone link me to a switch like this if it exists? We need it in two months and the switch needs to be able to endure constant stress for about 6 hours. Anyhelp is greatly appreciated and im grateful for any ideas that you give me. Thanks!

I doubt a lan party is going to put any "stress" on a 16-24 ports switch. Most of those are built around a monolithic switch IC that can handle non-blocking line-rate switching simultaneously across all ports 24/7, to the extent that you do not congest any single port or flood them with a micro-packet flood.

As for the "requirement" for "metal ports", all those are is plastic jacks with a decorative/shielding metal sheet in front.

Oh cool! Thanks for that bit of knowledge, i wanted the metal ports just because i thought it would be better quality and last longer, plastic vs metal just got me at metal. But thanks for telling me!
