So I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. I'm trying to connect an asus usb-n13 network adapter. Normally when I plug it into a usb port it lights up but it doesn't light up when I plug it into my new computer. When I go to device manager, I can see that my comp does recognize it in "other devices," but there's a yellow sign with an exclamation point in the middle over it. I don't have the setup cd but I did transfer the driver software over to it. I got the driver software here: http://www.asus.com/Networking/USBN13/HelpDesk_Download/

I tried 4.3.1.0 and 4.3.0.6. Neither work. I don't know what to do.

Solution
You have to install the driver software before you plug in the wireless adapter, then plug it in when you see the prompt to do so. Otherwise it won't install properly.

Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port... that adapter may not work with a USB 3.0 port.

I had similar issues with similar adapter (couldn't get 5Ghz wireless networks to show up), I found a driver somewhere that worked better. Lemme do some thread searching to find it.
