Is crucial ballistix tactical tracer any good for gaming?

I'm looking to get a 2x8gb kit of tactical tracer and the max is 1600mhz. It's only $120 on amazon right now and the green led lighting would match my razer edition nzxt h440 great with the other led's. This is mostly an aesthetic choice. Should I not worry about led's and get a black 16gb kit of g.skill or corsair 1866mhz or 2133mhz or 2400mhz or will I not notice a performance difference it heavy 1440p gaming and moderate video editing (which is not frequently) or should I spend a probably wasteful $215 on corsair dominator platinum and plasti-dip paint is black/green? I am very confused.

PLEASE DO NOT FANBOY OUT ABOUT SOME PARTICULAR RAM OR HATE ON ANOTHER.

What mobo and CPU so we have an idea of the capabilities of your rig and is this the TT 1600/8?

Those should be fine, and should be able to OC them if you so desired. Should easily run 1866 and possibly 2133

Thanks. This may be a stupid question, but will heat be an issue while oc-ing or are the heat sinks adequate? Especially in the h440.

No, you'll be fine, I run 32GB in each of my rigs ranging from 2400 to 2800 sticks and heat is of no consequence, even when I OC the DRAM higher
