I currently own a Powercolor 7870 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131661&cm_re=powercolor_7870-_-14-131-661-_-Product). The card has worked fine for me in terms of performance but I have always gotten a lot of artifacts while playing games. Recently it's gotten really bad. So bad to the point I'm wanting to replace my old card.

I did a little bit of looking around and had my eye on an R9 270X as my replacement card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127760).

Here's my current build:

GPU: Powercolor 7870
CPU: i5 2500k
Mobo: Asus P77-V
PSU: Antec 520W

I guess my question is whether or not this card is a viable replacemen. One issue I had was that the card requires 500W minimum PSU. Since I have 520W I wasn't sure if that was pushing it too much. I know that the cards never draw the full power, but still.

Thanks for any advice.
