So, I've build my new computer, and I've had it for around a month. I've rarely ran into problems regarding performance, but something had recently came up. When trying to install larger games, my computer will slowly start to slow down, eventually freezing completely. Games like GTAV and Guild Wars 2.

Those are my specs, and I'm running this on windows 8.1. My computer is clearly not the best and you can probably guess I'm not the most tech savvy person. All and any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmmmm. My first thought is the HDD. Have you run HDD checks? Could be you've run out of space of non-fucked-up (that's the technical term for it) space. Windows and your first bunch of games used up all the good space and now you're left with trying to write where it can't.

Second thought: Are you getting this from a disc, or do you download it? Although I imagine that would just cause it to fail, not crash.

No, I have not. How exactly do I perform an HDD check? and I'm installing it from online.

Hello! So I had done this option of checking, and my computer reads as if nothing is wrong. Do you have any idea of what could be the problem?
