I have a assembled desktop of following specifications
Motherboard - M4A78LT-M-LE
Processor - AMD Athlon II X2 250, 3.00 GHz
GPU - Zotac Nvidia GTX 750, 2 GB
RAM - Irvine 4GB DDR3-1333MHz

I bought it in June 2013, but not the GPU which I got this year's Feb. From last 1 month it is showing unusual problem. It happens like this

(NORMAL CONDITION)
1. I switch on the ups and then the cpu box
2. The led light of behind the cpu box power button starts glowing, there is beep and the system starts normally

(PROBLEM)
1. I switch on the ups and then the cpu
2.This time the led light doesn't glow and there is no 'beep'.
3. The cpu and psu's fan can be heard running but there is no display, no boot

*This problem occurs generally when I restart the pc after gaming for more than 90 minutes.

(Here is what I do to start the system and that is the point when the situation get's unusual)

When the PROBLEM arises I simply make my cpu box collide lightly with the table's leg (which is just on it's right side) and the led light starts glowing, there is a beep and system starts NORMALLY.

*This problem was also there 6 months ago but at that time I sent the motherboard for service and the it was resolved.

Please tell me what is causing this and am I making it worse?

Why do you not leave your UPS on all the time? Why do you turn it on and off all the time? I would try removing the UPS from the equation and plug your desktop directly into the wall to see if it powers on normally. If it turns on normally, then you might have a bad UPS.

Otherwise I would reseat everything in your desktop. The RAM, your GPU, your CPU, and all power connections to the motherboard, GPU, and storage devices. Reset your BIOS settings too if you made any changes to it. If you're still having issues, try a new power supply.
