One of the cooler fan of my GPU died, so instead of buying a new cooler I'm thinking of an upgrade (Nvidia this time, maybe GTX 970 - 960), BUT next year a new technology will be coming out and according to this graph gpu will be 4x (or something like that) more faster. My question is: if I wait next year can I get a NEW gpu with the same money (300€) or not?

Well, I've been using AMD GPUs almost exclusively for 10+ years. But the GTX 970 is an outstanding value for performance and price. I would also recommend it if you need a new GPU right now. You won't be disappointed.

I got the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 for myself and have a custom modded BIOS on it and a solid OC at 1500/3800. Great cooler, quiet and fast. Runs like a stock 980.

The 3.5GB RAM issue is likely due to the 32bit FP still used in Maxwell GPUs. Doesn't really hurt performance in 1080p or 1440p as you won't need more vRAM until you start pushing 4k.

If you can limp along for a month or two, AMD should be releasing their 300 series in June.

The 960 would barely be an upgrade from an xt 7870 so that's definitely not worth it.
How's it coping on one fan??
I had a single fan model & it ran super fkn hot under load.

I have to agree with the guy above though ,the 970 is pretty much the best GPU released in the last 5 years hands down.
