Good afternoon,
I purchased an XFX R7 260X card this weekend and am trying to install it in my new HP Envy Desktop. This HP 700-410xt (Memphis B Motherboard) desktop is just 3 months old and has been running perfectly. I am currently running Windows 8.1 64 bit & 8GB DDR3 with an Intel i7-4771 processor. I have made one upgrade to the factory system and that was to install an XFX TS 550W Gold PSU. That was installed about 3 weeks ago and I have had no issues since.

I have done about as much research as I can and have exhausted all other options, as I have now been working on this debacle for over 24 hours. Before installing the card, I tried to run the setup disk. That was non-responsive for some unknown reason, so I registered the product on XFX's website and downloaded the AMD drivers I was directed to (Display Driver ver. 14.501.1003). There don't appear to be separate XFX drivers to install, as I am just directed to AMD. I then shut down the desktop, installed the card, and restarted the desktop. The fans started properly in the case and on the card. There were no beeps from the case and no image on the screen.

I tried doing every combination of connection to the video card (HDMI, DVI, & DVI-D), none gave me a signal. I was forced to shut down, disconnect the 6 pin from the card, and reboot with the dedicated graphics. That booted right up for me, but the system I have doesn't recognize the XFX card in the device manager. I realize that it is not the best idea to connect the video card while the system is on, but I tried that as well. There was no response or recognition of the card, when refreshing the device manager.

I have included as many links as I can to the relevant specs for quick reference. I would GREATLY appreciate any help you could provide here. At this point, the desktop is operational, but I am unable to utilize the video card I purchased. Thanks so much for your time and consideration.
