ASUS Z97-A performance drop after BIOS-update?

Hello, I recently updated to BIOS Version 2205 from 21-something. The UEFI interface is sluggish and I can see a performance drop in my benchmarks (just got new gpu, hence the benchmark)

Anyone experience this?

After a BIOS update or even a reset, you need to set up the BIOS again. Starting with setting optimized defaults then the memory speed and timings and anything else depending on your system, then save and exit.

Done that, setup everything as it was before, damn, this is annoying.

Did you start with setting optimized defaults first? Then the memory speed & timings and whatever else the needs to be set depending on your system?

Hmmm, no, actually didn't, will check - however my memory speed seems fine
