I've been getting hangs on my system for months. I thought I'd solved it when I ran MemTest and found errors and RMA'd those sticks. New sticks returned no errors.

I happily ran a secure erase on my ssd and proceeded to do a fresh win 8.1 install and before I can even install the video card drivers the fricken thing hangs.

Maybe I just need the video drivers I think. I run the install and parts of it fail...

This is my system:

I still get random hangs. I just don't know.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Would be greatly appreciated.

So I finally figured out that the power supply was causing the problems. I replaced it and no more hangs, though I hope there aren't any other problems with the system. A question though...

I put in a 750w Corsair cx750m. It replaced a Roswill Capstone-450. Did I just need a bigger power supply. I'm gonna RMA this things and hopefully return the Corsair. eXtreme Power Supply Calculator recommended I need 367w. Am I walking the line too close?

Welp, for anyone who cares, Rosewill doesn't make the 450 anymore so they're letting me RMA it for a 550. So I should have plenty of overhead. Pretty cool of them (now if only they were faster to reply to email RMA requests). Sorry for triple posting, but... you know.
