Bios screen appears upon every start up

Every time I start up my new PC that I built about 4 weeks ago, the BIOS screen pops up and I have to chose all of the settings that I want all over again. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Sounds like either a bad bios ROM chip or a dead CMOS battery. For 2-5 bucks, I'd try a new CMOS battery first. Or make sure it's entirely seated. Maybe remove and reinstall it. I've seen motheboards that were sitting in a warehouse for a long time get delivered with dead CMOS batteries, but it's relatively unusual, but not unheard of.

Which is why I said make sure it's entirely seated. When they're upside down, they'll stay in place but they don't seat right and you can tell that the wrong side is up. Good call. I've seen a couple come that way as well. Mostly from lesser mainstream brands but if I remember right I've encountered one Gigabyte and one ASRock that came with flipped CMOS batteries. So much for being tested before they leave the facility.
