I (have been for a while) am trying to find a driver to run an Intel D915GRV motherboard's LAN controller. My primary issue is Intel never made drivers for this, or stopped supporting it. The only thing I've been able to come up with is Marvell is actually the producer of the LAN controller, and in doing so made these drivers:
http://www.marvell.com/support/downloads/driverSearchResults.do
Fascinating.
Except I'm running Windows 7, and had planned to install the driver via compatibility mode. Except for the fact that the driver fails to install under compatibility mode, and will only complete when installed normally via Windows 7. But then the driver fails to work at all, and I have no network access...it is beyond frustrating to be so close to wrapping up a project and suddenly have my largest obstacle be LAN drivers. I have no choice but to use this hardware, so upgrading the motherboard and CPU is a no-go...any help is greatly appreciated.

Tried intel drivers, it comes up with "cannot find intel PRO device" or something like that. Won't recognize the network controller...bit the bullet and purchased a new NIC. Trying to install semi-recent drivers on a nearly decade old machine just wasn't meant to happen. I know there is some way to do it, but I'm just to short on time and I feel it's the best "need it now" solution.
