Hey Guys,

Have a problem hopefully someone can help me with. I have a Thermaltake RX-1 system,

Processor AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor
Manufacturer AMD
Speed 3.9 GHz
Number of Cores 8
Video Card AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Manufacturer ATI
Chipset AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Dedicated Memory 1.0 GB
Total Memory 4.0 GB
Memory 16 GB

I recently bought Dying Light and have played a few hours with no problems, no lag, no fps drops, etc; but suddenly my PC randomly turned off, not shut down, fully turned off. It starts back up instantly but now when I go to play Dying Light it turns off within 15-20mins of opening the game. Every other game doesn't turn my PC off like this, it's only Dying Light.

Heat and dust isn't an issue as I pulled apart everything and gave it a thorough clean out, including the heat sink and all the PC fans. I thought it might be a problem with my PSU? Again I will post all my PC specs soon once I get home and post them, including my PSU specs as I have no idea what wattage or anything I have.

Doing any other activity on the PC doesn't cause this issue, and other games run fine, all temperatures are fine. Dying Light ran for hours on end when I first opened it up, but on the second opening of the game it's s started to give me this turn off issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Bump. Also ran a Can You Run It and two of my system requirements don't meet. CPU and something else, but I have played the game for hours without a hiccup, could that be the issue?

This is indicative to a failing power supply. Willing to bet with the age of your equipment and "value" oriented nature of them, the psu is both old and cheap.

But we cant say for sure until you post back.

I'm completely sure that is not PSU,because i have same problem while i'm playing Dying Light..

What model PSU do you have? A PC shutting down under load is a symptom of an insufficient power supply.

Having the problem with Dying Light is not a proof that your PSU is fine. Does the issue occurs if you stress the CPU with Prime95? Any issue when stressing the GPU? If not, then stress both at the same time; if the system shuts down, then the PSU most likely is the source of your problem. Since you won't tell us what PSU you have, I have to presume it's a crappy unit.

I may be wrong, but according to the OP, there are no FPS drops before the shutdown; therefore I presume the motherboard doesn't throttle the CPU.
