I'm looking to put this Sapphire Radeon R7 240 2GB DDR3 in my computer. I have a dp35dp Mobo, I've seen that my board apparently doesn't work with PCI-e 3.0. So what I'm trying to find out is will that card work through backwards compatibility with my Mobo?

My reference link to exactly what card I'm looking at can befound here http://

Any help with this is appreciated, I always like to know before making a purchase of sorts.

Solution
PCI Express is a backward compatible interface. Your board should work fine with a 3.0 card. But if possible, see if you can find one with the faster DDR5 VRAM.

LED displays are unlike the older CRTs in that they only look good at their native rez. If I were you, I'd leave the 720p display at its native 1360x768. The image will look better and the r7-240 will produce higher frame rates. If you are a gamer... Remember, the higher the resolution, the more pixels the GPU has to render per frame. At 1080p, your frame rates (FPS) will be lower than at 720p. And if you don't need to use the 2nd display all the time, disable it in Windows. That will also take some demand off the GPU.
