CPU Dead need help getting a new one.

hey ,

specs:
Motherboard : MSI 970 Gaming
Graphics card: amd radeon r9 270x 4gb
Ram: 4gb X 2
hard drive :1.5 tb
psu: 550watts

i had a FX-4100 but i dont know how but my machine would not start..cpu lights and the graphic card fan and cpu fan are running..but the computer does not start..so if i could understand what the problem is, it would be of great help... and if my cpu is dead plz suggest me a new fx series processor...thanks in advance..

Try removing the video card and seeing if the system will boot. If it does boot without the video card try reinstalling it and seeing if it will boot. Video cards are a common cause of boot up issues.

If that doesn't work try clearing the CMOS, using the jumper on the board (check the manual if you don't know where this is). This will clear all the bios settings and it's more likely to boot up with base settings.

i did remove my video card and used my friend's video card..but still no result..

actually i also thought it was the mother board so i did get a new one but still no success
