As long as it gas bios rev f12 or newer you'll be fine. Why are you putting an unlocked k cpu on a board that can't utilize to its full potential? K cpus are designed for overclocking and the b85 is a non overclocking board. If you want to oc you need a z87 or z97. If you are not overclocking just get a cheaper(usually cheaper)non k 4690.

Possible that rev was released after devils canyon and will more than likely work. If the K is cheaper I guess why not. I wish I was near a microcenter, they do tend to have great cpu prices but are in store only deals.
