Unable to connect to internet after fresh install

Ok so ive done a fresh install of windows 8.1 onto my new SSD and it seems that im lacking some network drivers. Of course i cant get onto the internet to download the drivers. Ive tried downloading the drivers onto a laptop and transfering them over to the desktop via USB but i dont seem to be able to open the file.
Any help would be appreciated in getting me back online.

You can't open the files by double clicking them...

You should get the .inf file (After you unzip them if you there were archived) and then go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Device Manager -> Right-click on the unknown network device -> Properties -> Second tab -> Update Driver -> Second choice (NOT Automatic) -> Browse the driver files you have downloaded -> Next -> Choose the device you got listed -> Next -> Next -> etc...

Thanks for the info

Im having trouble finding the drivers i need... so many different results.

CPU: Intel i5 4690k
Motherboard: MSI G45 Z97

Could someone link me to the correct drivers with this?
