If I double posted this sorry.

I have a sabertooth x58 and ive been running a 5670 Xeon the last few months, I get the odd blue screen of death, but that could be the EVGA 970. Added both to my system about the same time. My main concern is all the processors listed compatible for the sabertooth are 130w, the xeon is 95w, is there any chance the board could damage the processor?

Solution
No, it's too high a voltage that can damage a CPU, wattage is simply a measure of how much power it draws from the PSU.

Xeon processors aren't even listed for the sabertooth x58, that's your instability problem.
How it's even managing to boot at all with a unsupported processor is a mystery to me.
Get a CPU that's on the supported CPU list.

Well the problem turned out to be my memory, replaced the memory and have not had a crash since. CPU is chugging along nicely. The bios and windows recognizes the processor.
