I just upgraded my computer with a new graphics card (radeon r9 290) and upon restarting the computer my second monitor no longer works unless I set the resolution to 800x600. At that resolution it will duplicate my main monitor, but will not allow me to extend the display. The second monitor is a different size and may have a different resolution, but that hasn't been an issue before.One monitor is dvi the other is hdmi. They are both plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard. I have the latest graphics drivers as well. The card has two dvi ports and I've tried both with the same result. Using up to date windows 7 as well.
