Hi,

My girlfriend made a custom rig and has been using a wired connection since purchase, she later moved in with me and other flatmates and doesn't have access to a wired port and thus has to use a wireless connection, after going through various wireless adapters we decided their performance (250~ping) was subpar and went for a a wireless card named below.

"TPLink150NBS Wireless N PCI Express Adapter"

This has been fine (roughly 30~ or so ping), I play simultaneously with my Mac (don't hate me) and others use various other devices and although we occasionally lag its rarely consistent, however she originally got a good connection with this card she is now getting performance issues making games once more unplayable.

We've had the card for about 2 months, not sure whether to buy a better one or if this one can be fixed/altered in some way to get a consistent connection. (the connection from the router doesn't entirely drop but the ping can go anywhere from 30 to 4000/500.)

Please help! Let me know if you need any other kind of information.

#Edit1 - Can't get to the router right now but its from Glide, I think they're quite a small company so I imagine they don't have many routers. We're on the 'basic' package rather than fibre optic. Her interface says that she has 50% signal strength although we're >10m from the router.
