Well, your board does have a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, so just about any modern graphics card should work with it. The performance difference between PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0 is negligible, so you should be able to manage just about any single card without issue.

For power supply requirements, generally speaking it's good to have at least a 550w power supply when running a single card. nVidia cards are a little less power hungry than AMD cards, but 550w minimum is a good baseline, just ensure that it has the proper power connections for the card you choose.

Given your platform, all but the highest end cards should perform just fine.

whats the compatibility situation for RAM there are only 2 ram slots can i put 8gb (2x4gb) ripjaws in there?
And also what GPU for the price of $250 would you recommend?

Any DDR3 modules should be fine compatibility wise, though since the FSB is rated for 1333 MHz, going too high end might be a bit of a waste. 1600 MHz DIMMs are relatively cheap now, so if you can get some 1600 MHz Ripjaws DIMMs at a good price, by all means, go for it, they'll give you some overclocking headroom if you're able to or choose to go that route.

For a GPU in that price range, I'd try to see if I can find a deal on a GTX 750 or a Radeon R9 270/x. If you really shop around, or even go second hand, you could look at the R9 280x; I recently picked a second one up for my system, slightly used, for $160 CDN.
