I am looking for a good Z97 motherboard for my gaming PC, I am thinking of overclocking the Intel Core i5-4690k on it, but I am not 100% sure I will, I would like a Z97 board just in case I decide to, but I do not plan to SLI/Xfire GPUs now or for a future upgrade, just doesn't seem worth it or needed to me. Anyway, I used pcpartpicker.com to try to find which board is best for what I am looking for and my budget, here is the list of boards that I had in mind, but I don't know which one to get: http://pcpartpicker....&c=99&X=0,11000 I read a few newegg reviews for some of these boards and just about all of them had the same amount of pros and cons, even the highest rated board. I am looking for a good quality, durable, simple to use bios, and over all the best in the list, If anyone could help me choose which board to get, that would be a big help, thank you.

Also, even though I said I will most likely just stick with one GPU, it is fine if the board is SLI/Xfire compatible.

Z97-E is a good choice, and if you can get it from Micro Center for $99, bonus :D

From that list, just about any board will serve you well. I'm personally partial to Gigabyte boards, but the MSI Krait Edition board and the Asus Z97K/CSM board would be excellent choices as well. Just be sure to pick the one that has the most of what you need in terms of ports and connectivity.

At the end of the day, there's really not a "wrong" choice at that end of the price spectrum. As Suztera points out, see what you like in terms of BIOS layout, though they're all generally pretty friendly nowadays. You can never go wrong with Gigabyte or Asus especially, but nothing in that list is a slouch :)
