Does anyone know how to fix this? I've already looked around on different treads and forums for answers, none of which fixed mine. This file, NTOSKRNL.EXE is death.

I've already re-installed numerous times. it doesnt work. I've already done a memory scan. Memory is good. CPU is good. Computer is updated. "What the problem is"

I barely installed or updated any drivers (that might sound a little bad but I find that my PC works good without all updated drivers. Strange but true) The ones I do have installed are ones that install themselves like Microphones, headsets, keyboards and mouse and I got Motionjoy.

System Specs:
AMD FX8350 4.00GGhz Black Edtion
MSI 990FX GD80 (motherboard)
8Gb Corsair vengeance RAM 1866Mhz
XFX 7970 & 7950 (Crossfire)
60Gb SSD
1TB HDD (WINDOWS 7 OS)
750 HDD
850 watt power supply
Corsair H100i water cooler

No, what windows VERSION. XP, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1, or are you running one of the pre-release versions of Windows 10? Also, 32 or 64 bit? I'm guessing it's Windows 7 64 bit but it would help to be certain.
Clearly it does NOT work good without updated drivers, which is why you're probably getting errors aside from the fact that you're crossfiring two dissimilar GPU cards as well. There are very few enthusiast or gaming systems that can run well or error free without installing the correct drivers. Windows native drivers, while offering basic operation, are rarely the best choice to run on a permanent basis and in some cases aren't meant for anything more than basic support in order to get you to the point where you CAN install the correct drivers.

NTOSKRNL.EXE means "Windows NT Operating System Kernel", which is the very core of the system. In most cases a faulty driver or lack of an adequate driver is what creates that error, closely followed by failing or incompatible hardware and less common would be issues related to old software titles that are not compatible, but would not apply here since you've freshly installed the OS. That means either you're having issues in regard to the two cards you're trying to use, or there is a driver issue. At least, most likely. I'd remove the 7950 until the problem is sorted out.

What is your windows version so I can link you to the correct driver installation files?

I've used these two GPU's together for almost a year, and never did bluescreen (atleast not with these errors) I've played many demanding games and they've work fine. Drivers? Yes, it could be drivers. But idk what drivers.

Windows version: 6.1 build 7601 SP1

ok cool, I have the latest GPU driver the 15.4 beta. I have to use the beta one because it's optimized for GTA V and that's what im playing. I'll try the chipset driver, don't think I did install that before.

Ha yea, I kinda figured there were some issues with GTA V. Thanks for pointing that article out, haven't seen that one yet.

But I'll see how the PC runs, If it does BS still, it wouldn't take long to do so.

I would still try with only one card, and then the other. GPU failures are EXTREMELY common, I just had to RMA my brand new R9 290X last week due to failure and your cards are much older than mine.

Also, PSU failure due to reliability and quality issues with cheap or low tiered units is a HUGE problem with gaming cards. What is the model number of your PSU?

Hi

I have a Dell laptop (Inspiron 14R 5437), with Windows 10. I keep getting the BSOD as well, with a sad smiley and an error message saying "IRQL NOT LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO". I did some research online and found the below website that asked me to use the bluescreenview application, that allows users to view the minidump files created during this process:

www.nirsoft.net/.../blue_screen_view.html

When I ran this app, I found that the blue screen was caused by the ntoskrnl.exe file.

Can you please let me know how I can fix this problem and what driver the above file relates to?

My system specs are below:
Windows 10
4th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-4200U
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 740M
