I just installed a new Asus motherboard and corsair PSU. When I was finished putting everything back together, I booted up my PC and started a fresh install. The windows 8 logo appeared, and the wheel started spinning. The fans spun up to a crazy speed and the screen froze. I quickly turned the PC off to prevent any damage. What is causing this, and how can I fix the problem? Do I need to apply more thermal paste, because there was barely any (prebuilt PC, just swapped everything over to a new mobo)? Any help is appreciated!
