Hello

I just bought a i7 4790k and a mb to complete my new pc build.

I didn't have enough to buy an aftermarket cooler.

I have a 120 gig ssd and a 1 tb hdd.

I am going to use the 1tb hdd as a main storage drive and the ssd for only programs that require being on a ssd.

I will use the pc for graphic design, 3D design and rendering and movie making.

I might have a little extra soon to use for the pc.

Should I get a 250gig ssd so that I can use the 120 gig ssd for a scratch disk or will buy a after market cooler?

You only want an aftermarket cooler when overclocking, which I highly doubt your would need. Personally, a 120GB ssd is just fine. It doesn't fill up quick. How much ram do you have and what gpu are you using?

If It Were Me. I would buy a copy of primocache and turn the ssd into a high speed cache for the hard drive. Whatever I use the most gets sped up OS, programs, games, etc. My system see's one drive, the hard drive with a big fat fast ass cache. Not quite ass fast as a ssd, but no babysitting either. I just got the coolermaster hyper 212 evo, if your case is wide enough I highly recommend it.

Right now have a GTX660, was thinking about selling it and using the money to buy a GTX960 later

I have 16 gigs of DDR3 2133 ram

Wouldn't a quadro card or a Titan/Titan black be better for graphic/3d design stuff?

Some workstation cards are about the same price as a 970, but I'm not a 3D design guy; I'm sure it depends on the programs and such: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814195133&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
