So I've purchased the TP-Link Archer T9E WiFi card, and I've plugged it into my motherboard (details on specs at bottom of post) but it's not detected on my system, at all, despite a green LED on the card itself lit up, which according to the user manual means it's in and installed (it isn't). I've searched my Device Manager to no avail. There is no "other device" section in it, and under "Network Adapters" is only "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I218-V". I've run my motherboard installation disc to make sure I have all drivers/utilities I need for it, but still it's not working. Any help here is greatly appreciated!

Case: NZXT Phantom 820
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
CPU: Intel core i7 4790-K
RAM: 2x Corsair 8gb
GPU: Nvidia GTX 980
Storage: Intel 180gb SSD (C: ) HGST 4TB HDD (F: )
PSU: 1KW CoolMaster V1000

Solution
It's not a driver issue if it's not listed in Device Manager under the correct category, nor listed as an unknown "other device".

Provided you've installed it in to a PCI Express slot (which you must have done because it won't fit in to a PCI slot) Windows should have detected it as a device even before installing any driver software. So it seems likely that the card is faulty.

To confirm this, try it in a different computer if at all possible.
