My son is outgrowing his old Athlon X2 630. I was planning on just getting a new mobo and CPU (FX 8350) but thought I would look around and I found the following for sale. Guy is asking $360. We have a decent GP (R9 270).

INTEL i5 2500k
MSI Z77 z77a-g45
Phanteks TC14PE
8GB Gskill Ram
1TB WD Black Hard Drive
Corsair GS600 Gaming PSU
NZXT H440 Case with Four fans PSU Cover and Custom Lighting inside and out
High Speed Wifi

I realize the case, cooler and HD are all pretty nice.

So is this a good deal? I've spent some time looking to make sure that this processor still has life left in it and from what I've read it seems to.

That is a GREAT deal. You would be paying about half of what it would be worth brand new. The 8350 is slightly stronger, but with that CPU cooler you should be able to get a great overclock which would bring it up to speed.

The 2500k is considered one of the best i5s and is still used by many people today, most people with it don't find it worth it to upgrade.
