Hi guys my specs are:
-Processor Intel Core i7 Eight Core Processor Extreme i7-5960X
-Motherboard ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME
-Memory 16GB KINGSTON HYPER-X PREDATOR
-Graphics Card: 2 way Titan X SLI
-Hard Disk 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD; 2nd Hard Disk 2TB WD CAVIAR BLACK
-Power Supply CORSAIR 1500W 80 PLUS TITANIUM AX1500i DIGITAL MODULAR PSU
-Processor Cooling Corsair H100i Hydro
-Windows 8.1

Basically when I start up the Pc is automatically shutting down (almost instantly) and then restarts by itself. It does not even load windows. I can’t understand why this is happening since my computer is brand new, I bought it 3 weeks ago.

Firstly, I thought the power cable was not connected properly to the power supply. I have disconnected the cable and connected it again and everything was fine until today that happened again. So that’s not the case.

Also, this is not happening at all times, it happened 5 times so far.

Any help will be appreciated.

Possibly your heat sink is not seated properly or the thermal paste wearing out. What our your temps? If you can get to the Bios menu, see if you are in legacy or UEFI mode. I had to put mine in UEFI + Legacy. Windows 8.1 how we love it.

The temp of the CPU is normally 29-33c but when playing games is 42 max.
I was told that this is due to my RAM, the machine restarts as it needs to find to optimal speed for my RAM, this is common across the X99 platform due to them using such high speed memory.
What do you think of this?
