Hi, while my MB is still good to go, im also interested in upgrading it I have up to £300 to spend on a decent mb, so what is the best upgrade for my processor? its an i7 2600k LGA 1150

That PSU is the Antec High Current Gamer right?
If it is, then there's really no need to upgrade anything, besides putting a cooler on the CPU to overclock it if you dont have one.
You can upgrade, but I suggest you wait for Intel Skylake due to the end of this year or the begging of the next.

My system is in my signature :) although I was looking at a GTX 980 sli or a titan x 12GB but ive no idea which the sli 980's benchmark better for reasons unknown to me.

And I guess im being a fussy noob, wanting to keep up to date as these are 3 years old now (and yes I know they are good) but not the best.

Yes my psu is a High current gamer bronze.
My cpu isn't bottlenecking atm and it runs my gpu with no issues (apart from display driver error which NVidia says is driver conflict with what ive no idea).

but I like water cooling ! I have a H100i on my other rig I used maybe 20 times since I bought it (haha?) on this I have
http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/v6gt/
my temps don't go above 54 degrees on my CPU and 53 degrees on my GPU
