How do I find out which components are there in my laptop motherboard?

I have HP Pavilion 15 - e016tx laptop. It's touchpad and keyboard is not working. I am told by the service engineer that the motherboard needs to be replaced. Before I do this I want know about the motherboard components. What the motherboard is physically made of.

Can anyone help me on that?

You can look at the device manager under the control panel. This will list all the components that your laptop has.

Look man, the keyboard/pad controller is probably on a chip soldered to the motherboard, the tech is telling you have to replace the whole shebang. If you are lucky, the said controller is on a separate daughter card that you can purchase separately. Am hightly skeptical that is the case, but OPEN it and look, that's how you know.
