Recently started getting random PC shutdowns, especially during startup.

I am assuming this is a PSU issue. My new pc has worked completely fine for 2 months with no problems at all, but starting 4 days ago my pc will randomly shutdown. Scarier yet, these shutdowns are increasing in frequency. The first day it randomly shut down after about 5 hours of active use, and started up fine again. The second day it shut down about 4 times. 3 of those times were during startup. Yesterday it shut down 7 times, 5 of those during startup. If i get the pc running, it will run fine until it randomly shuts down 1-4 hours later. It does not turn itself off, the power is cut completely. Today I have not been able to turn the pc on at all, it will shutdown during startup. It´s not a Windows issue since it often shuts down before Windows has even loaded.

As I said I assume this is a PSU issue, but the warranty on my PSU is already over and I don´t have any spare. Also it worries me that this is a development, so it seems something in my pc is gradually becoming more and more unstable. I have checked all the cables and changed outlet. My components are a Corsair 600W PSU, Asus B85M-G motherboard, and MSI gtx 970. All the drivers are up to date.

Is there anyone that has seen this happen before? I worry that it might be a motherboard issue or wattage issue that I don´t know about. And if it´s a faulty PSU I will have to buy a new one so I want to be sure it´s the PSU before I spend my money.

If it was registered you will have to pay shipping each way and be without a PC for a few weeks so up to you.
Usally on PC parts they use a 3rd party for warranty and yes they make more money if they can wiggle out of it.

Yes you´re right, it´s the CX 600. While the retailer warranty is expired, I could try to return it to Corsair directly. Do you know if Corsair are picky regarding defective products? I´ve dealt with some companies that will do anything to wriggle their way out of compensating the user, and if that´s the case I would rather just buy a new PSU than deal with the hassle.
