Hi,

My rig (Common one)

MOBO: GA-78LMT-S2
GPU: R9 270X 2GB
CPU: FX-6300 3.5GHZ
RAM: Simmtronics 4GB @1600MHz
PSU: Corsair VS550
MONITOR: AO6 16.5" @1366×768

I'm able to play games at max but some games still lags like AC3 13-60 FPS on max settings! Can u believe this 13 fps?
My PSU is of very low quality but everything is on stock speed so I should be fine. Shouldn't I?

Also I think the ram is causing these lags in all games but in some games it is more..
I checked I never pass GPU them 75°C and CPU 52°C max so temperature is not bottlenecking!!

Suggest me a good ram should I sell my current ram and get 8gig or get the same ram ?

And I've aldy ordered Dell S2240L 21.5"monitor. Is it good for gaming or should I buy another

Solution
Look for a G.Skill 8GB (2x4GB) Kit. CAS 8 or 9 DDR3 1866 should work well.

Remove your OLD ram and install the new RAM in matched pairs and set your BIOS for dual channel support.

Do not mix RAM between old/new or different make/model/speeds. It's a fustercluck trying to get it to work when not using a matched set.

Also, AC is buggy and has performance issues even on highest end systems. It is not a good indicator of system performance.

I'd say go to newegg.com and get some $60 ram. There are a lot of 2x4gb kits for about $60, and if you wait a week or two and check the Shell Shocker deals each day, odds are you will find a 2x4gb kit for about $50

For your monitor, if you're okay with it then that's fine. You could get a 1080p monitor for around $130, but you would have to lower some settings a bit to get decent frames. In that situation you could also sell the old monitor, but I don't think you could get too much money for it
