2x4GB 1.65v with 2x8GB 1.5v causes problems in games!

Hi Guys,

While gaming in Microsoft Flight Simulator, the game just lags or rather becomes 'skippy'.

I have identified problem to be RAM, as the game works fine with just 8GB of RAM.

I need advice on settings in BIOS that I need to equalize my memory timings frequency voltage so they work fine together etc etc.

Please advise.

I have set my voltage to 1.65V for all 4 modules but it doesn't seem to do the trick.

Remove the 1.65 ram and stay with corsair, 8 gb is enough, i think that 1.65v ram is the problem here.

its recommended to never mix memory. get rid of the 4gb extra. 8GB is enough for gaming.

When mixing ram you want to get the specs as close as possible and that still doesn't guarantee it will work. Mixing voltages is just a bad idea.

Could be the different ram just won't play together and never will.

All ram works at timings 9-9-9-24? Look at the spd tab from cpu-z.
What timings does it give under the memory tab?

Which motherboard and cpu?

Tried all possibilities and gave up.

I have bought another 8GB corsair and now all 4 dimms are the same.

NEVER MIX RAM.
