Hello,

First off thanks for any insight you guys can give me. It's time to upgrade my GPU and I found a killer deal on a EVGA GeForce GTX 780 TI. I'm worried that I may need a new MB and PSU to go along with this card, but was wondering if you could take a look and see what you think.

Current set up:
MB: Asus P8Z68-V LE
PSU: Corsair TX650
CPU: Core i-5 2500k

I'm not too familiar with how this works.. but The 780 says it is PCIe 3.0, and as far as I know my MB only has PCIe 2.0 x16 slots... Will PCIe 3 work in PCIe 2 slots?

Thank you!

Solution
You are fine. PCIe is a backward compatible interface, if that was your concern. The card will run at 2.0 bandwidth with no loss of performance. No single GPU card can yet fully saturate the 2.0 standard at 16 lanes.
