Hi guys, I'm pretty unconfident in my motherboard knowledge and purchased new RAM without enough research on compatibility. At this point, rather than refuding the RAM, I want to just upgrade my motherboard to one that will be compatible with everything. Here are my PC Specs including the new RAM:
1) RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Memory Kit Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R
2) MOTHERBOARD - MSI P55 CD53
3) CPU - Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
4) GPU - AMD RADEON HD 5700 Series (5770 to be exact)
I can provide additional information if needed since I really don't know what information is important here. I'm not sure if amount of USB ports/HDD/etc. are also a factor in purchasing a new motherboard. Any help is appreciated as I am confused about what to look out for.
