So I currently have the BitFenix Neos, and it supports up to 30cm of space for large graphics cards, problem is, my gpu is the Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X which is 30.8cm. Clearly I cant fit this. I'm not using an SSD atm, and the rest of the space for the gpu is occupied by the SSD slots, should I try and hammer/chisel the ssd drive case? since im not using it?

Look at the ssd slots. If they are screwed in place its an easy fix. If not and it is a part of the case try cutting it out with something hot, small soldering iron or something like that or just cut it with something really sharp. It will be a permanent removal but your way sounds about the same but riskier than mine. Too the case i mean.

if they are riveted wouldnt you just drill the rivets out?

lol---i have just about every tool possible

if they built it i can reverse build it---lol

just neater than giving a whack with the old irish screwdriver :)

i have rebuilt my pc since then...I now have no drive cages because they were in the way of the two 140mm ducted intake fans. but I have done it properly, including a couple of weeks worth of paint and polish, and 'neat' just doesn't do it justice.

DIdn't own a drill. I do now. The OP might have luck with tin snips or some similar cutting tool. (Dremal with a cutting wheel designed for metal)
