hey, i have a interesting problem, after getting a new video card, new case, then a new motherboard (ya that order i know terrible order xD) im having the problem described above, il literally get up to grab another mtn dew or whatever and il come back to a frozen screen. this will happen weather ive been gaming for a couple hours with my OC on gpu running or without my OC running. or it could happen for only been gaming for 20 minutes just as soon as i get up to do something it freezes the screen after couple minutes. After I installed all the new drivers and what not i did have a interesting memory leak issue which after a long time of figure out what program it was i narrowed it down to Microsoft sky-drive (unusual suspect), i got that fixed now (just stating this in case it might give you guys a idea of whats happening). its very frustrating at this point though, im wondering if i got a faulty GPU or Faulty motherboard (Or PSu just gave up with the new equipement). hopefully its not the GPu because i got it from micro center as a Open box and i think its been passed the 15 day return policy.
System setup:
AMD FX 8350
ASROCK FAtal1ity 990FX killer
650W bronze certified PSU (not sure what brand not home atm)
16GB mixed RAM
Strix GTX 970
(also have great temps and Air Flow) the Strix only goes up 66C under load with 1512Mhz core clock OC and +500 mem clock
happens in any game
