960 Help learning how to use precision x and safely run the card NEED HELP

Hi I've been currently running my new 960 and my gta 5 has been crashing a bit and earlier on it had a proper crash that involved the monitor "going to sleep" as the end result of the game crashing and when I googled online people said about the graphics card draining too much power or so but im not sure what to believe. I just want to learn how to use precision x and how to keep my card from overclocking

type "precision x how to " in google and its the first video explain everything about the program that how i learned how to use it. they use 680 but don't think there is that much change between the two cards.

by the way is the card from evga? if not that program may not work
