Corsair HX850 Cable Compatibility

I was just wondering if the Silverstone Tek Extension power supple cables would work with my Corsair HX850. I'm going to order the 8 pin to 8 pin pci-e cables.

Extensions are just that, they can be connected to any PSU cables since they simply mimic the cable as it goes into the motherboard (or graphics card).

I was also wondering if I could plug in a 6 pin to 6 pin using the hx850. What I mean is would I be able to plug in the six pin the the psu's 6 pin peripherals input? Or is the power output different?

If we are still talking extensions here, yes. If you are looking to simply plug a 6 pin PCI extension into the HX itself, NO, do not do that since the 6 pin from the HX supplies 3.3v, 5v 12V and ground, there's no way that can possibly work.

edit to elaborate: The graphics card expects 12V and ground only
