Hey everyone!

Lets start of with my system specs:
Ultra x4 1000w PSU
AMD Phenom II 4x 955
8gb of sector 5 ram 1333mhz
Asus ROG Crosshair IV Extreme.
Powercolor r9 280x turboduo in crossfire( using ATI Pixel Clock Patcher to unlock the driver for o.c tv)
Seiki 39" TV as monitor(1080p o.c. to 127 hz) (4k o.c. to a massive 31hz :kaola: )

My issue is when watching Youtube videos in 4k the video jumps and the cpu is almost maxed out. the gpus are barley being used. i have tried chrome, chrome canary, and firefox. all with the same results. canary helped to stream better, but still not great.

All drivers are up-to-date, internet is around 25Mbps download. I let the video buffer

I know the cpu is a bottle neck but i do not think it would be this big of one. Any ideas on how to have smother playback?

It does look like the board can run but at a hit or miss shot. Also if it does run, the motherboard is not going to sense the temperatures correctly and throttle you down to lower than what the 8150 would already get you with no problems.

That makes perfect sense! Any input on what a good CPU would be?

What is the primary use of this setup? The reason I ask is with that socket there is not a very good option to get that would be good for a long period of time depending on what you do with the setup.

I read somewhere that my motherboard can use some of the am3+ processors. i was thinking about upgrading cpu and mobo. I use the computer for gaming in 1080p and surfing the web and watching videos in 4k.
