Dell 07n90w compatible with Q8300?

I have a Dell 07n90w and currently it works fine with Intel's E8400. I want to upgrade my processor to Q8300 but I'm not sure if it will work on a 07n90w mobo. I have read the mobo's manual that it supports Core2Quad since it's socket supports LGA775 but I just want to make sure that everything will work fine before I buy the Q8300.

That's your MB model. You're probably going to have to use your Dell model number and go to their site and find your exact system. Then look up the CPU support list.

Thanks to your response but my model number is 07n90w. I don't know what you mean "look up the CPU support list" as I have said it only support core2quad but I don't know if the Q8300 would actually work on it.

Is your Dell a Vostro 230 or 230s by any chance? That model used the 07n90w board, I believe. If so, this discussion may be helpful.
